Usher Feat. Young Jeezy - ‘Love In This Club’ Music Video Review… Finally!
I’ve been waiting what seems like ages to finally get the chance to review this song, and accompanying video, but haven’t had the chance until now.
Because the song was leaked online prematurely, it was then released digitally, and has been and gone at the top of the US Billboard charts. It did however mean that Usher didn’t have time to record the video before that all happened.
So was it worth the wait?
You’ll know the song by now as it’s been played solidly on rotation for the past 2 months, but the video may be new to you… it’s certainly new to YouTube.
The song is okay. There I’ve said it. Although it’s R’n'B, which isn’t one of my favourite genres, mainly because all the songs sound the same, and tend to be about having sex, it’s actually alright.
Usher has done much better though, and so after a long wait for this new material, it still leaves me slightly disappointed. Plus the subject matter again just turns me off big time.
The video is okay too, at least until we reach the cheesy ending which sees Usher leave the club that was full of honeys not a moment ago, only to find it a burnt out shell. Yeah, whatever mate… stick to singing.
The whole package basically offers more of the same, both for Usher, and the genre. But it’s catchy, and I know it’ll do well because it already has done!
