Ladies and gentlemen, step right up! Right this way! For a a mere 25 cent piece and a moment of your time, you can bear witness to one of the wonders of the music video world. A music video so mind numbing, so awfully dull that it can only compared to watching C-SPAN in slow motion.
Why? Well, if you haven’t watched it yet, I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but here’s a hint: nothing happens.
That’s right! Nothing happens! Nothing. There’s a girl that looks like Katie Holmes at this party. She smiles a lot. Some kids high-five. I fall asleep. I think Dave Melillo even falls asleep. The parents that come home at the end? Asleep within five minutes. They’re more angry that their kid threw such a boring, crappy party than anything.
And I’m pretty sure the dad’s a little upset the girls didn’t take their shirts off. I mean, they lost strip poker, right? It only seems fair!

Come on, you’re just not thinking like a 14 year old girl. The video doesn’t have to be interesting with a pretty boy like that leading the song. Admit it - he’s a pretty boy. This video is soooo going to be on every preteen myspace. And because you weren’t wrong about the Katie thing, likely every preteen boys site as well.
However, since I am no longer (thankfully) a 14 year old girl; I’m inclined to agree with your assessment. But only because I’m old.

About as boring as the Cure - Bella Lugosi is Dead music video. Well at least parents can make their children watch that video as punishment the next time they back talk.
