Sia - ‘Breathe Me’ Video Review | Featured On ‘House’ & ‘Six Feet Under’ Finale

I’d never heard of this song, Breathe Me by Sia, until a friend of mine told me about it after it was featured on the television show House, starring lovable British rogue Hugh Laurie.
I watched the clip of it on YouTube, and while the song isn’t to my usual taste, I found it very haunting, and the accompanying video definitely worth reviewing here on Killed by the Video Star. So here it is.
The song is beautifully sung, and the singer’s tone and vocalisation of the haunting lyrics add some weight to what is essentially a bit of a light ballad.
The video is where the real innovation is. Although I’ve seen the polaroid thing used before, it’s never been done quite so well, or used so successfully as this.
It must have been painstaking to make, not only having to take a lot of very similar pictures one after the other, but then putting them in order and filming it in the chosen style.
It reminds me of the movie Memento quite a lot, just using instant photographs to hold memories in, so as not to forget.
Not the best song in the world, but one which instantly gets in your head, and with a video that achieves what it sets out to do astonishingly well.

I downloaded this song *coughofcourselegallycough* shortly after I saw the video. It’s very relaxing, yet haunting at the same time, which is so strange. And the video is absolutely amazing. I really want to know how they did it! If they really took the polariods or if it’s some computer digital stunt.

I’m trying to find out what moive or show or what this song was on??? i know it was on a commerical for house and the new brideshead revisited but i want to say that its in a moive too.. please help….
