Jay Sean - ‘Maybe’ Music Video Review | Been There, Done That, Moved On
Jay Sean is a British Asian artist who has been around for a few years without ever seeming to rise to the top of his game.
With Ride It currently doing well in the British charts, he’s trying to keep the momentum going by releasing this, Maybe, on April 7th, which coincidentally is my birthday… so feel free to buy me something.
The song isn’t bad, I mean it has nothing wrong with it, the only problem being, it also doesn’t have much right with it. It just is, you listen to it, and then move on.

I like my music to resonate with me, create some emotions, or get me up and dancing. This does none of the above, and for that it suffers.
There’s also the fact that despite being British, Sean is taking too many influences from America, and American artists. Mate, they do it better, so best to create your own style instead.
The video too does nothing for me, just being a by the number music video for a romantic R’n'B song. A guy in a white t-shirt, some black and white shots, some snogging, I’ve seen it all before, many many times.
Song: 4/10
Video: 3/10
