H Two O Feat. Platinum - ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ Music Video | Schoolgirl Uniforms…
I really wanted to hate this song, as it’s everything I hate about music these days. Unfortunately I can’t do it because it’s damn catchy and that counts for a lot.
This is one of those songs which straddles various genres, from cheesy Europop, to R’n'B, to Dance, and luckily for H Two O (awful name by the way), it does so very well.
The reason I should hate it is because it is designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, with chavs and scallies the target audience.
But, put me in a club with a few drinks, stick this on, and I’d be up on the dance floor quicker than an alcoholic could get to the bar come last orders.
The song is simple, with an uncomplicated rhythm and some simple lyrics that anyone can understand. But that’s why it woks, you don’t have to think, or look for any hidden depth to it.
The video again is designed to appeal to the target audience, showing women in schoolgirl uniforms, and well, a bit of dancing I think… my mind had wandered by then.
