Enrique Iglesias - ‘Somebody’s Me’ Video Review | Not ANOTHER Love Song
I can’t stand this guy. There, I’ve said it, in the interest of full disclosure, because that inscrutable fact affects the review of this, his latest single, and video.
There’s something inherently creepy about Enrique Iglesias, a quality he shares with his more talented, and more famous dad. He’s smug, and makes me want to vomit every time I see him on TV.
So, as you can tell, this review is a bit of a chore for me to do, but I’m kind of relishing slagging him off.
The song itself, Somebody’s Me, isn’t all that bad, but it’s just more of the same dreary old crap that he always comes out with. So what’s your next release going to be about Enrique? What, another love song? You do surprise me.
It’s one of those songs which just meanders from start to finish, without affecting the listener in any way, shape, or form. It doesn’t elicit any sort of emotional response, either good or bad, it just IS.
I can’t even really understand why so many women fall over themselves to be near this guy, he’s smarmy, and a bit of a twat in my humble opinion.
So then we come to the video, which follows the song by being an unintelligible pile of horse shit. It’s just love song video by number episode 24, there’s nothing to it, apart from mole face cavorting with a model, and holding his stomach in to show off his finely honed physique.
When it comes down to it, a song and video like this just make me think “Why bother?” Would the world actually be any worse off without it? Ermm no, is the answer you’re looking for.
