It seems that Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have finally got married, after having been dating for six years. So to celebrate we’ll look back at one of Beyonce’s biggest and best hits of recent years.
I can’t decide if this song is anti-man or just pro-women. There’s a big difference between the two.
In the end I think it’s just Beyonce trying to make herself feel better after her partner obviously dumps her, so not based on real life at all then. I mean, who in their right mind would ever dump Beyonce… have they not seen her butt?
Some men do seem to think they are irreplaceable, and can treat their wives or girlfriends however they please, safe in the knowledge they’ll always come crawling back.
Except they don’t, so grow a pair of testicles and start treating your lady with a bit of respect.
I love this song, mainly because of its sheer simplicity. The melody softly loosens the screws in your brains, and the tune quickly finds itself lodged in your cerebellum.
Beyonce makes the song, and I can’t see anyone else delivering the lyrics in such style and grace. She also makes the video, not because of any complex dance routine, but because we get to see her in a bra.
