Amy Allen/Lily Winehouse
Holy crap. So many music videos to watch, so little time to take the piss out of them.
I was in and out of NYC last week with little to no internet most of the time, thus this page featuring little to no updates. This week brings a hike out to LA, so there may be a day (Wednesday? Thursday?) without anything, but once I get set up out there, I’ll be able to jump back on the wagon and keep the fun rollin’.
So whadda we have today? Well, it’s Monday, and like I said last Monday, I’ll be directing that question to Sammi over at 52 Bands.

Another admission: I had no idea Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen were two different people.
In my head, they were combined into a singular super cute British chick with teeth only marginally straighter than the inside of a geode. Realizing my mistake, I did some research on this Winehouse character and discovered that she’s apparently famous because drinks and smokes a lot and sometimes sings while doing one or both.
My uncle does this at Thanksgiving and shows no signs of signing a record contract anytime soon. Also, Lily Allen has a third nipple. So, I ask you: who’s more deserving of fame?
In an attempt to put that debate to rest, I think I’ll run a Lily Allen video tomorrow and we’ll have a little point/counterpoint debate. Maybe I’ll get Sammi to join in..it’ll be fun!
As for the video, it starts strong and proves that if there’s any fairness in the universe this woman will at least get a shot at a Bond anthem. Unfortunately, it quickly delves into a series of sexy costume changes (one of them being just a bathtub) that I have no problem with, but that leave the whole video kind of creatively bankrupt.

I’d love to see you tell Amy to her face that you can’t tell the difference between her and Lily, she’d punch your face in!
Lily is much cuter, but Amy is probably more talented. You’re so right about her doing a Bond theme, that would completely work :)
